New Chief Secy assumes charge
Hyderabad, Feb 29 (UNI) A Raghotham Rao assumed charge as Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary today.
Mr Rao worked as Special Chief Secretary and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and also as Principal Secretary, Home, besides various other posts.
Mr Rao, who called on Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, assured to do his best in successfully implementing developmental projects and welfare schemes and would ensure that the administration put forth its maximum effort in the delivery mechanism, an official release here said.
The Chief Minister outlined his priorities to the new Chief Secretary like expeditious completion of the irrigation projects, effective and quick implementation of INDIRAMMA housing programme, Rs two-a-kg-rice scheme for the poor, the pavala vaddi scheme for women SHGs, and other programmes launched for farmers' benefit.
