National seminar on food labelling on Mar 1

Hyderabad, Feb 29: A one- day national seminar on 'Food labelling and Quality Management for Vegetable Oils' would be organised tomorrow at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) here.

The seminar, being jointly organised by the IICT and the Oil Technologists' Association of India (Southern Zone), would disseminate basic concepts of food labelling and quality management systems to vegetable oil industry, R&D and academic organisations so that the knowledge on statutory rules and regulations will pass on to common man.

Coconut Development Board Chairman Minnie Mathew will be the Chief Guest. Eminent experts from various regulatory bodies, R&D organisations and vegetable oil industries will deliver the lectures, a press release here said.
