Bangalore, Feb 29 (UNI) Indian music icons Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, M Balamurali Krishna and L Subramanian will come together to perform on a single platform on March eight in the city.
Talking to newspersons today, Premanjali Trust Chairman Balakrishna Hegde said the Padma awardees would perform at the Koramangala indoor stadium to raise funds for the cause of destitute children.
The musical feast was organised as part of the sixth Premanjali Festival --'Resonance'.
Mr Hegde said the festival also aimed to bring some of the best cultural masterpieces to the Garden City.
Earlier, Premanjali had invited maestros like Dr Mallika Sarabhai, Naseeruddin Shah, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Dr Balamuralikrishna, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Ustad Zakir Hussain and many others to the festival.
Premanjali Trust had over 800 destitute and physically-challenged children, who were provided education along with training in sports. The Trust also ran a centre for visually impaired students with advanced computer facilities.
The Puravankara real estate developers would be the main sponsors for the event, while HDFC would be the co-sponsors, he said.
