Krishna to host classical music festival from march 8
Mumbai, Feb 29 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna will host a three-day classical music festival at the Raj Bhavan here from March 8.
Top notch performers M Balamuralikrishna, Sudha Raghunathan and Shubha Mudgal and Bombay Jayashree would perform during the festival.
The festival, being held for second year by the Governor to promote classical music, would commence with a Jugalbandi by Shubha Mudgal and Bombay Jayashree on March 8. The next day, Mr Krishna would felicitate Dr Balamuralikrishna for his lifetime contribution to the field of music and it would be followed by a concert by the eminent artist, who besides being a vocalist, could also perform with fluency in Khangira, mridangam, viola and Violin.
The festival would conclude on March 10, with a Vocal recital by Sudha Ragunathan.
