Private players to build India rail freight corridors
New Delhi, 27 Feb, 2008 : Indian railways is seeking greater role for private players in building rail infrastructure in the country, according to proposals of the annual railway budget unveiled on February 26.
Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in his railway budget for 2008/09 has proposed public-private partnership projects that would cost a trillion rupees in next five years.
