Mahindra Holidays signs MoU with WBTDC and SIDC
Kolkata, Feb 28 (UNI) Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd(MHRIL), a leisure hospitality provider and part of the Mahindra Group of companies, today signed a MoU with the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation(WBTDC) and Sunderban Infrastructure Development Corporation(SIDC) to develop new destinations for travellers.
The MoU aimed at enhancing cooperation with the government agencies for establishment and development of new tourist destinations and upgrading or modernisation of existing tourist sports in the state.
MHRIL would develop and commercially operate the resorts developed by it.
The WBTDC, SIDC and MHRIL would jointly identify the specific areas of tourist interests in the state, particularly in southern and northern parts, and build resorts, hotels, holiday homes, and tourist complexes.
MHRIL would also undertake identification of sites, preparation of plans for their development and conducting of feasibility studies in consultation and the co-operation of WBTDC and SIDC.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Tourism Minister Manabendra Mukherjee at Writers Buildings.
