Heads of CRPF and J
Srinagar Feb 28 (UNI) Director Generals of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jammu and Kashmir police stressed the need for more cooperation between the two forces for better results.
A high-level meeting between CRPF DG SIS Ahmed and J&K police chief Kuldeep Khuda was also attended by Inspector general of Police Kashmir S M Sahai, IG Operations CRPF M S Gupta, IG, CRPF Administration, S K Jain and IG CRPF Jammu.
The meeting discussed in detail measures being taken for enchancing cooperation between CRPF and police during internal security of the state, particularly in the Kashmir valley.
Official sources said it was decided during the meet to further strengthen the operational capabilities of both the agencies for better results.
They said stress was also laid on how to meet the challenge in densely built up areas. Measures were also discussed which would help to reduce the collateral damage during counter insurgency operations.
It was also decided in the meeting that there will be greater participatory role of both the agencies during the operations against the militants in Kashmir.
They said the present security scenario of the valley and the steps for further improvement were also discussed in the meeting.
