Decrease in science students a concern: Governor's advisor
Bangalore, Feb 28 (UNI) Mr S Krishna Kumar, Advisor to the Karnataka Governor, today said ''the number of students opting for Science stream is declining.'' Speaking after inaugurating 'National Science Day' celebrations organised by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology here, he said ''the number of students opting for Science stream is decreasing and it is a cause of concern.'' The programme was organised to mark the birth centenary celebrations of Nobel laureate Sir C V Raman, to inculcate scientific temper among the students.
Mr Kumar called upon Bangalore Bruhut Maha Palike (BBMP) to upgrade infrastructure for Science Students studying in Corporation Schools. He also called upon City Corporation to provide additional facility to students opting to pursue higher studies in Science subject.
