New Delhi, Feb 28 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today had an interaction session with more than 40 office bearers of RWAs across Delhi.
In the interaction, that lasted for 90 minutes in Delhi Secretariat, Ms Dikshit exhorted office bearers of RWAs to place constructive suggestions and deficiencies to enable City-government to further streamline citizen-government partnership for improvement in civic services and ensure better living conditions for the residents.
Representatives of different RWAs were led by the Chairman Delhi Citizen Front Dr M K Mohanty.
At the meeting, where Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister P K Tripathi and other senior officers from Bhagidari Cell were also present, a number of suggestions were presented which included presence of MCD and DDA officers in Bhagidari meetings, installation of gates in colonies, cooperation from traffic police, parking problems, covering of open nallahs, shortage of water, maintenance of parks, proper utilisation of 'My Delhi I Care Fund' and office requirement for senior citizen clubs.
Ms Dikshit instructed officers to involve RWAs in utilization of 'My Delhi I Care Fund'. It was also discussed to have proper coordination between the MCD and DDA as number of deficiencies relates to confusion over jurisdiction of colonies in lack of clarity on transfer of colonies by DDA to MCD. It was suggested to have a Committee with MLA and representatives of RWAs and officers for coordinating efforts. The MCD is also being requested to disseminate norms for installation of colony gates.
