RS adjourned till 1200 hrs on farmers' loan issue

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) The Opposition, led by the NDA, today disrupted proceedings of the Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha demanding waiver of loans of farmers in the country, forcing the House's adjournment till 1200 hrs.

As soon as the House assembled for the Question Hour, the Opposition members, including those from the BJP-led-NDA, entered the well of the House, demanding that the Government waive off the loans of farmers.

Shouting slogans like 'Lathi Goli Khayenge Kisanon Ko Unka Haq Dilwayenge' (we will bear lathis and bullets but secure for farmers their rightful due), 'Kisano Ka Karz Maaf Karo' (waive off the loans for farmers) and 'Kisan Virodhi Sarkar Nahi Chalegi Nahi Chalegi' (anti farmers Government will not survive), the Opposition members did not allow the Question Hour to proceed.

Amid the bedlam, Chairman Hamid Ansari adjourned the proceedings of the House till 1200 hrs.
