Patiala, Feb 27 (UNI) The Punjab police officers, Davinder Singh Garcha and Paramdeep Singh Sandhu who are in CBI custody have alleged that they were victims of political rivalry of two political leaders of Moga.
The two were arrested yesterday in Chandigarh for their alleged involvement in the Moga sex scandal, probed by the CBI.
While talking to the media in premises of the CBI court here today, they said that two political leaders of Moga- Joginder Pal Jain Congress MLA and Tota Singh of SAD were political opponents. '' We are innocent and have become victims of the rivalry between these two leaders,'' they claimed.
CBI has registered case against them under section 384 (extortion), 211 (implication of false charges) and 120-B of IPC.
