Computer to meet power crisis
Lucknow, Feb 27 (UNI) After portable laptops, a power savvy computer has been invented that can operate without electricity, UPS and invertors.
The DC desktop computer is cheap and easy to operate, making it accessible to students from remote areas to learn computers.
Brain-child of 20-yr-old Sunil Kumar, the complete system (with LCD Monitor, Multimedia Keyboard and Mouse) can run on 12 volts DC battery, available at Rs 700, without any glitch.
''It will not be a brain surgery. It's easy to operate. People will face no difficulty now as it will run on low volts...it functions synonymous with UPS and does not corrupt the operating system (windows),'' Sunil told UNI here.
