Lok Sabha adjourned after making obituary references
New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was today adjourned for the day after mourning the death of sitting member Prakash Paranjpe (Shiv Sena) and six other former members.
Speaker Somnath Chatterjee while making the obituary references, recalled the contribution of the departed members who had represented the House at various points of time.
Tributes were paid in the House to late Alkha Ram, Tirlok Chand, Pratap Chander Chunder, P Ganga Reddy, Mohammad Mahfooz Ali Khan and Manphool Singh Chaudhary.
Mr Paranjpe died recently following a brief illness.
The Speaker adjourned the House as a mark of respect to Mr Paranjpe.
