Hajipur, Muzaffarpur jails to be upgraded

Patna, Feb 26: Hajipur district jail and Muzaffarpur central jail are set to be upgraded and the project completed in a span of four months.

Official sources said here today that the state government had sanctioned a fund of Rs 8.60 crores for the modernisation and infrastructural development in these two jails. The sources maintained that the fund would be utilised to build new wards of jail, high security wards, barracks for jail guards, central watch tower, kitchen crockery, water supply and proper sanitation.
