Bhopal, Feb 25 (UNI) A local court today set March 7 as the next date for hearing in a fake passports case wherein underworld don Abu Salem stands accused.
As Salem did not appear before Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Shrivastav today, another production warrant would be issued.
In November 2001, a case was registered by the city police Crime Branch at Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani and Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi for having fake passports made at the Regional Passport Office using the fictitious names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Osman respectively.
Monica was acquitted but that acquittal has been challenged in the High Court.
