R Chidambaram new member of IAEA Commission
New Delhi, Feb 25: Dr R Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, has been nominated member of the 'Commission of Eminent Persons' to make recommendations on the long-term priorities and fundings of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The Commission, established by IAEA Director General Mohamed AlBaradei, will make recommendations to the Board of Governors of IAEA, an official release said.
Dr Chidambaram is in Vienna attending the first meeting of the Commission being held from February 24-26.
