Oppn interrupts Governor's address
Bhopal, Feb 25 (UNI) The opposition today attempted to interrupt briefly Governor Balram Jakhar's address to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly questioning the government's claim on welfare schemes.
Dr Sunilam of Samajwadi Party reminded the Governor that the government claim on relief to farmers was baseless.
Mr Jakhar took exception to intermittent interruption by opposition members saying if such interruption continued he would be happy to treat that his address was considered as read. However, he continued his address for 30 minutes with the ruling members thumping the desk in between.
The Governor mollified the agitated opposition saying they would get sufficient opportunity to raise their point during the proceedings in the house.
At one stage, Cooperative Minister Gopal Bhargava also stood up to intervene when Dr Sunilam was on his feet.
Mr Ramlakhan Sharma (CPI-M) also took exception to the attempt of the minister.
