Left to take final decision on support to UPA Govt at meet: CPM
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 25 (UNI) The CPI (M) will take a final decision on the crucial issue of withdrawing support to the UPA Government at the Centre during its 19th Congress scheduled to be held at Coimbatore from March 29 to April three, Party State Committee Member B Venkat today said.
Addressing the press here, Mr Venkat said the party was disappointed with the functioning of the UPA Government as its policies were 'totally anti-people and drifting the country towards America.' The very purpose of CPI(M) extending its support was getting defeated, he claimed.
''We backed the UPA only for curbing religious and communal forces. But those forces are more active and stronger now than before making us introspect,''he clarified.
Even the Congress Government in the State failed miserably in providing good governance, Mr Venkat claimed.
