Bangalore, Feb 25 (UNI) Karnataka State Finance Corporation (KSFC) Legal Manager and a clerk of Bidar Branch were arrested today while accepting bribe for showing official favour.
Legal Manager Gurunath Henur and Clerk Prabhakar were caught red handed while accepting Rs 22,000 bribe from the complainant Mr Kirtiraj for issuing Loan Clearance Certificate.
Mr Kirtiraj's father Kashinath Poste had purchased a industrial shed for Rs 1,10,000 under KSFC loan in July 2007. The government had waived off the loan of all small industrialists. Notice was given Mr Poste to remit Lawyer's, others fee and to take Loan Clearance Certificate for which the complainant approached KSFC who told him that the Lawyers fee and other charges totals about Rs 8,000 but he had to pay Rs 22,000 for the Certificate.
Both the culprits were arrested and further investigation was taken up.
