Kidney Racket: Amar for Govt clarification over naming of Shehsa
New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) Stating that kidney racket accused Dr Amit Kumar's accomplice Dr Upendra had named Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Secretray Sheshank Shekhar Singh in this regard, Samajwadi Party General Secretry Amar Singh tonight demanded that both the Centre and the state government should come out with clarifications for the sake of probity in public life.
He said he had just come to know that Dr Upendra had told the Special CBI court Ambala today that the Cabinet Secretary was also involved in the racket, so it was the duty of the government to come out with clarifications to restore the public confidence in the administration.
Mr Singh was addressing a press conference here along with the UNPA leaders in connection with tomorrow's pro-farmer demonstration in the city.
Dr Upender is facing charges of removing kidneys of innocent persons at his nursing homes at Faridabad and Ballabhgarh in complicity with Dr Amit. He was sent to judicial custody till March 7.
