Haryana to recruit 13,000 teachers against vacant posts
Chandigarh, Feb 25 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to recruit 13,000 teachers in the state schools to fill up vacant posts, Health Minister Kartar Devi said today.
The decision would not only end the paucity of teachers in the state but also create additional employment, she said at a function in Karnal.
Mrs Kartar Devi also announced that the backlog of posts reserved for Scheduled Castes would soon be completed.
She suggested the non-governmental organisations to establish coaching centers for imparting free education to the students hailing from poor families.
She said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had introduced the new scheme 'Dalit Shiksha Protsahan Yojana' for the benefit of students belonging to Schedule Castes (SC) to raise their educational standard.
Under the scheme, a monthly financial incentive would be given to all SC students to encourage them continue their education.
