Dissidents set 70 per cent stake as IPL compromise

By Staff

Kolkata, Feb 25 (UNI) With barely 24 hours to go for the Special General Meeting (SGM), 68 of 121 Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) members today gave a memorandum to the joint-secretaries, stating that 70 per cent of the IPL grants of Rs ten crore be equally distributed among the member associations for development of cricket in the state.

CAB president Prasun Mukherjee had called an SGM tomorrow to iron out the differences in the matter.

While the IPL proposed to give 20 per cent tickets to the host association, the members had demanded 30 per cent and a bigger share of the grants pie offered by the IPL.
