New Delhi, Feb 25 (UNI) A local court today issued non-bailable warrant against Pradeep Jaildar, a Congress Counsellor from Gurgaon, who was also the General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress, for taking part in a violent demonstration against the BJP-led government at the Centre in 2000.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ajay Kumar Kuhar, after taking cognisance of the matter, issued non-bailable warrant against Jaildar and Jagat Singh, son of ex-Central Minister Natwar Singh for May 27, 2008.
On July 27, 2000, a minister from Haryana Randeep Singh Surjewala, with other Youth Congress members, led a demonstration against the BJP-led government at the Centre in the Tehalka matter before the Parliament Street.
During the demonstration, they allegedly assaulted police officials and damaged the barricade kept by them.
In the said matter, the police has also booked Jagat Singh and Padeep Jaildar, under the various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
