Cong describes MP govr's speech as Goebbels-like propaganda
Bhopal, Feb 25 (UNI) The BJP today said the State Government's achievements described in Governor Balram Jakhar's address on the inaugural day of the Assembly's budget session, was a symbol of fulfilled public aspirations while the Congress condemned the speech as a document of Goebbels-like propaganda by the saffron party.
''The government has taken several steps in farmers' interests such as reducing interest rates on short-term loans, providing relief in power cess on agricultural pumps and electricity bills,'' said BJP state unit President Narendra Singh Tomar.
On the contrary, Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi said that the address contained no resolve for tackling corrupt elements and improving the system.
''Most of the schemes referred to are actually of the Centre whose National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Sarvashiksha Abhiyan, Samagra Swachhata Abhiyan, road-laying and irrigation schemes have succumbed to corruption in this state,'' she alleged.
