BJP to contest Panchayat election in Bangal alone
Kolkata, Feb 25 (UNI) The West Bengal BJP has decided to contest the Panchayat election alone if the anti-CPI(M) front is not formed in the state.
'' We are still ready for an alliance with the Opposition to form an anti-CPI(M) platform in the state, but if it does not materialise, the BJP will contest all the 49,000 seats in the coming Panchayat election on its own, '' state party secretary Rahul Sinha told newspersons here today.
He said, '' The BJP's door is open for an alliance, and the party will contest alone those seats, where alliance will not be formed.
It is impossible to oust the CPI(M) by any individual party.'' '' If we can deal a severe jolt to the CPI(M) in the coming Panchayat election, it will help us oust the former from power, he added.
