New transfer policy soon, says CM

Hamirpur, Feb 24 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said his government was mulling a new transfer policy, which would help state government employees to carry out their duties and responsibility with dedication.

Addressing the 41st annual prize distribution function of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose Government College here, he said efforts were being made order transfers before the beginning of the academic session of the educational institutions and financial year of the employees.

Mr Dhumal said the Centre has also announced an assistance of Rs 22 crore to the state for the upgradation of nine ITIs under an MOU signed with it.

Appealing to the consumers to save energy, he said this was necessary as it had to purchase power from the neighbouring states at higher rates as the water discharge was reduced significantly during the winter season.

Referring to the controversy on re-writing of history, the Chief Minister said it was a matter of pride and should not hide facts, but bring the truth out.

He also announced the completion of new library building of the college, roofing of college building, construction of IT Block, to explore possibilities to start MCA classes after observation of all the modalities.

State Education Minister I D Dhiman, local legislator Urmil Thakur besides several other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
