Cashier and student in vigilance net in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police Crime Branch (CB) has filed two challans in a local court against a cashier of State Forest Corporation (SFC) and a student in the valley.

A spokesman of the CB said a tip off was received that a cashier of SFC Syed Abid Hussain Qadiri has indulged in corrupt practices by using his official position.

A case was registered and an investigation taken up during which it was found that the accused had misappropriated funds of the corporation as a cashier.

Subsequently, a charge sheet was presented before the Special Judge Anti Corruption against Qadiri, he said.

He said in another charge sheet a girl student Shagufta has submitted a class 11th certificate for getting admission to 12th class.

During the investigation it was revealed that the certificate produced was fake, he added.
