Air Arabia to fly to Kozhikode from Feb 26
New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Air Arabia will start service to Kozhikode from Tuesday, the first West Asian airline to fly to Kerala's third largest city.
It will also be the low-cost carrier's third destination in the State after Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi, which contribute a large expatriate population to the UAE and the wider Gulf region.
Roundtrip flights will initially operate three times a week between Kozhikode and Air Arabia's hub in Sharjah.
End of May, the service will be expanded to six times a week, airline's commercial head A K Nizar said in a statement.
''The addition of Kozhikode to our growing destination network is particularly significant for the Indian expatriate population in the UAE and wider Gulf region, which includes an especially large percentage of Non-Resident Indians who call Kerala their home,'' he said.
Air Arabia serves 38 destinations across West Asia, North Africa, the Indian Subcontinent and Central Asia.
