Hyderabad, Feb 23 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and CWC member G Venkataswamy today alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Government had not allotted sufficient funds for the contstruction of irrigation projects in Telangana region in 2008-09 budget.
Participating in a programme here, he said meagre allocation of funds would not help to complete the projects and it would only cause delay.
Alleging that the Government had only constructed canals, instead of completing the pending projects, he said it was time to launch a movement for seperate Telagnana by the Congress.
Mr Venkataswamy said he would resign from Lok Sabha, if the Centre failed to announce Telangana State before parliamentary poll in 2009.
