Vadodara, Feb 22: Security was tightened in the M S University of Baroda a day after students were shown having sex on the sprawling university campus in a sleaze CD. The release of the CD, by the former MSU Senate member and Baroda Bar Association (BBA) president Narendra Tiwari, has virtually created a stir in the university with the students leaders demanding an explanation from the authorities for security lapses. The students, leaders and supporters of both NSUI and ABVP stormed the office of vice-chancellor Dr Manoj Soni and demanded immediate action against the erring students and non-students. Following the student's agitation, the vice-chancellor called a high-level meeting to take stock of the situation.
University sources said, the meeting decided to immediately tighten the security on the campus, particularly at all girl's hostels, and restrict the entry of non-students to the campus. The meeting also decided to lodge an FIR against all those caught on camera indulging in the immoral act after establishing their identity. The Bar association president claims to have two more CDs in his possession where in, a number of MSU students and non-students allegedly figure in the sting. Mr Tiwari alleged that one of the student figuring in the CD was a former leader of the MSU students union, having allegiance to ABVP.
