Self-employment training institutes to wipe off unemployment
Mathura, Feb 22 (UNI) Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad today asserted that till 2010, every district would have a Rural Development and Self-employment Training Institute, which would help overcome the unemployment problem in the country.
''Such institutes will be a stepping stone in the eradication of unemployment and poverty from the country,'' Mr Prasad maintained before inaugurating the 'Panch Kalyanak Mahotsava' in Chaurasi Krishnagar here.
At present, Rural Development and Self-employment Training Institute is being run in Agra. The government aims to set up similar institutes in every district of the country, where unemployed youth would be trained according to local requirements, he informed.
