Police file charges against Ashok Jain in builder murder case
New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) The crime branch of Delhi police today filed a chargesheet against former councillor Ashok jain and eight others in connection with murder of Vijay Yadav, who was gunned down last year.
Police filed chargesheet under sections 302, 120 (B) and 404 of IPC in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Alok Agarwal.
The police, in the chargesheet, said Jain conspired with Rishi Pal to kill Yadav with the help of hired killers. Yadav was gunned down by eight men at Hauz Quazi's Sita Ram Bazar in Old Delhi on September 29 last year.
Earlier, Pal had got registered a case against Jain under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
He later on became friendly with Jain and told him that he had filed a complaint at the behest of Yadav. Jain thought this case had destroyed his political career and got Yadav killed.
The court fixed March 4 as the next date of hearing.
