Man gored to death, 133 injured in Jallikattu accidents
Pudukkottai, Feb 22 (UNI) A 45-year-old man was gored to death and 133 people were injured in two separate Jallikattu events in Pudukkottai and Ariyalur districts of Tamil Nadu.
Police said Duraiappan of Thethanpatti village, who was witnessing Jallikattu at Mangalapuram village in this district was gored to death, while ten others were injured yesterday.
They were rushed to Government Headquarters hospital here, where Duraiappan succumbed to his injuries.
In Thirumanur village at Ariyalur district, 123 were injured, ten in serious condition.
The injured were treated at the health camp in the venue, while the seriously injured were admitted to Medical College Hospital in Thanjavur, police added.
