{image-ice hookey_22022008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Gulmarg, Feb 22: Jammu and Kashmir today won the fifth National Winter Games ice hockey championship defeating Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) by a solitary goal.

Playing like well oiled machines, both teams played attacking hockey from the word go. However, they muffed all the chances earned by them in the first half which ended in a goalless draw However, immediately after the interval, hosts Jammu and Kashmir made several moves and entered the rival danger zone a nubmer of times.

It was Mushtaq Ahmad who scored the all important goal for the hosts when he made a solo move and put the ball inside the ITBP goal.

ITBP went all out to equalise the score, but failed to hit the target before the long whistle.
