Puducherry, Feb 22 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Sreeprakash Jaiswal arrived here this evening from Karaikal.
He was received at the Puducherry airport by Lt Governor Mukut Mithi, Chief Minsiter N Rangasamy and his Cabinet colleagues, along with senior officals of the territorial administration.
Mr Jaiswal, who drove straight to the Rajnivas, also visited the Sri Aurobindo Ashram here. He would chair a meeting of the senior officals of the territorial administration to discuss the issue of internal security. He would leave for Port Blair after an overnight stay here.
In Karaikal, the Minister attended the inaugural function of school buildings and community centres, constructed for tsunami- affected people. He also visited the tsunami-affected Nagapatinam of Tamil Nadu.
