Fashion show showcases dazzling jewellery

New Delhi, Feb 22 : Donning exquisite white metal diamond jewellery, models sashayed down the ramp at a fashion show held at the plush Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi on Thursday.

It was the first time that white metal diamond jewellery was showcased in India, and the event was appreciated by one and all.

"Nobody had earlier launched white metal diamond jewellery in India before. Diamonds here are affixed on white metal which is silver quoted with gold so that it is affordable and one more important thing is that you are getting everything certified and hallmarked," said Sadeep Agarwal, founder and CEO, (SRSC).

The gold coating on white metal jewellery gives it a brilliant shine.

The show was unique and exclusive as it successfully translated the timelessness of conventional designs tothe modern context.

Top models like Carol Gracious, Vidisha Pavate, Nayonika Chatterjee and Amanpreet Wahi set the ramp on fire with their impeccable catwalks.

Bollywood actor and Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha, fashion designer Puja Nayyar, jewellery designer Naina Balsawar and singer Shibani Kashyap were among the guests at the event.

The proceedings earned from the show were donated to the Rotary Eye Bank.

Local buyers seemed excited and thronged the venue in large numbers.

The gems and jewellery sector is amongst the fastest growing industries in the country, accounting for nearly 13.05 per cent of the country's total exports.
