Thousands pay homage to evangelist Dinakaran
Chennai, Feb 21 (UNI) Thousands of mourners, including politicians, film personalities and industrialists today paid homage to evangelist Paul Dinakaran, who died here yesterday.
Thousands of people swarmed the YMCA Grounds, where the mortal remains of Bro Dinakaran was placed for public homage.
Various cine stars, including super star Rajinikanth and Sarath Kumar paid their last respects to Bro Dinakaran, the 'Apostle of Lord', who prayed for millions.
Bro Dinakaran, who was suffering from heart and kidney ailments, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals here on January 29 and the end came at 0630 hrs on Wednesday.
The funeral would take place at Kilpauk Cemetry tomorrow.
Political leaders, including Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation G K Vasan and state Transport Minister K N Nehru paid homage to the departed religious preacher.
On behalf of the AIADMK, party presidiem chairman E Madhusudhanan and and former minister D Jayakumar laid wreath.
Viduthalai Chiruthigal Katchi chief Thol Thirumavalavan, Congress MLA Peter Alphonse and former Member of Parliament M P Charles (Kerala Congress) paid their last respects to the spiritual leader.
