Mauritius PM for bilateral promotion of tourism

Jaipur, Feb 21 (UNI) Visiting Mauritian Prime Minister Dr Navin Chandra Ramghulam today suggested exchange and collaboration between Mauritius and Rajasthan for promotion of tourism bilaterally.

Addressing Members of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and senior officials in a specially held sitting in the Rajasthan Assembly here tonight Mr Ramghulam said that Rajasthan was most favoured tourism destination and Mauritius also enjoyed similar status and identity globally.

He said that tourism had main stay in Mauritian economy.

The visiting PM said Rajasthan and his country could compliment and exchange their experience and ideas in tourism to brighten the prospects bilaterally.

Mr Ramghulam also underlined the history of common culture, heritage and spiritual beliefs between the people of Mauritius and India.

He said India was like our second home and we shared external bonds and cultural affinity with India. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Deputy Speaker Ram Narain Vishnoi and Leader of the Opposition Hemaram Chaudhary also spoke to welcome the visiting dignitary.

Earlier, Mr Ramghulam was accorded ceremonial welcome on his arrival at the Assembly Complex. Chief Minister Ms Raje, Deputy Speaker Mr Vishnoi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore, Leader of the Opposition Hemaram Chaudhary, Government Chief Whip Mahavir Prasad Jain and Congress Chief Whip Zuber Khan received the visiting Prime Minister.

He was accompanied by wife Mrs Beena Ramghulam and an official delegation.

Mr Ramghulam reached Rajasthan from Baudh Gaya in Bihar last evening.
