Ganga Ram Hospital to start Heart Transplants soon
New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) The Government has granted Sir Ganga Ram Hospital permission to perform Heart Transplants, a Hospital official said.
The Director General of Health services had recommended the grant of registration to perform Heart Transplants.
''The hospital facilities were inspected by a high level team of eminent cardiac surgeons and cardiologists in November 2007 and upon the recommendation of the inspection team, the hospital was granted registration,'' said the official.
The Heart transplants will be carried out by Dr Sujay Shad, Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and his team of doctors at the hospital.
"We already have all the necessary infrastructure for carrying out all complex surgeries in the 25 state of the art operating theatres at the hospital,'' Ganga Ram Board Chairman Dr B K Rao said.
