Tribal woman gives birth to baby at bus stand

Shivpuri, MP, Feb 20 (UNI) A pregnant tribal woman, who was returned by a government hospital due to lack of blood, has given birth to a child at the bus stand in this district.

Hathigada Hatod village-resident Ram Autar's wife Ramveti (30) had gone to the district hospital for delivery yesterday. However, doctors told her family members that Ramvati lacked blood and asked them to arrange blood or take her back.

Family sources said Ramvati had given birth to a child at the bus stand while returning. Later, on receiving information, health officials took the woman and the child to hospital.

Collector Manish Srivastava said Sub-Divisional Officer Madhukar Agney has been directed to inquire into the matter.

District Medical and Health Official Dinesh Kaushal said strict action would be taken against those found guilty.
