Sun Pharma increases stake in Taro to 34.4%
New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd today said it has acquired additional 9.4 per cent stake in Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, raising its stake in the company to 34.4 per cent.
Sun has purchases 3,712,557 shares through its indirect subsidiary, Alkaloida Chemical Company Exclusive Group Ltd, from Brandes Investment Partners, LP, said a statement.
In May 2007, Sun Pharma, together with its subsidiaries, had signed definitive agreements to acquire Taro Pharma.
