Panic in East Delhi area as youth open fire on police

New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) Panic gripped an East Delhi area today when two motorcycle-borne youth opened fire at police.

They said three police personnel -- Roop Kishore, Lalit and Jagdish -- tried to stop two youth on a motorcycle in Mandawali area of East Delhi this evening.

The police personnel chased and stopped the motorcycle-borne youth soon after.

As they were asked to get into the vehicle, the youth opened fire on the policemen.

The youth fired at least four rounds at the policemen.

However, no one was wounded, police said.

The youth later stopped and pushed a person riding a motorcycle and escaped from the spot.

Police have launched a massive hunt to nab the criminals.
