Natrajan sent to judicial custody in Bhagalpur court case
Bhagalpur, Feb 20 (UNI) A local court here today remanded the then Superintendent of Police A Natrajan to judicial custody in connection with the much-hyped Bhagalpur court case.
Mr Natrajan, who was evading arrest since long, today surrendered before the court of the Bhagalpur Subdivisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) with a prayer for regular bail in the case.
The court turned down the bail plea of Mr Natrajan and sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
Police personnel had manhandled the lawyers and people in the Bhagalpur court premisses when the then Additional District and Sessions Judge D N Brai awarded life imprisonment to a sub-inspector in a murder case in 1997.
An injured lawyer, Subhas Chandra Pandey, had filed a case against the then SP Natrajan.
