"Left Govt., is incompetent to bring investment" Joshi
Agartala, Feb 20 (UNI) BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi today called upon the people of Tripura to take lessons from Nandigram and Singur in West Bengal before exercising their vote on February 23 general election here.
He said the Bengal episodes had exposed the leftists attitude towards the poor people.
Mr Joshi said the left was basically aimless and confuse about the real purpose of their movement.
Mr Joshi, arrived here today to campaign for partymen, told a rally that the Congress was also negotiating with the leftists just to stick to the power. "They are sleeping together in Delhi and seeking divorce in Tripura, West Bengal and Kerala", the BJP's senior leader said while referring to their "dual policy" to hoodwink the voters.
He alleged the Centre had pulled huge money under Sarva Shikhya Abhijan (SSA) scheme but no report of utilisation certificate was submitted, Mr Joshi said.
" The Left Front government is incompetent to bring investment in the state", he said adding " when I was HRD minister, my ministry had proposed them to set up a unit of bamboo research institute and herbal plants but unfortunately we didn't get any effective response for the state,", Mr Joshi said.
Taking a strong exception on insurgency in Northeast, Mr Joshi opined that unless the socio-economic issues of the backward classes were addressed, the restoration of peace there was a difficult proposition.
