Irfan Pathan fetches 925000 dollars from Mohali

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) In the round of all rounders, India's comeback man Irfan Pathan's recent performances in Australia seem to have made an impact with the eight franchisees of the DLF Indian Premier League fetching nearly a million dollar before Team Mohali finally landing him for 925000 dollars.

Albie Morkel of South Africa fetched the next highest price among the all rounders with Team Chennai picking him up for 675000 dollars, while his teammate just retired super star Shaun Pollock was picked up by Mukesh Ambani's Mumbai team for 550000 dollars.

Australian upcoming all rounder Cameroon White was the next on the list to fetch a high price with team Bangalore outbidding him for 500000 dollar, while Irfan Pathan's brother Yusuf Pathan was landed by Jaipur for 475000 dollars.

India discard Ajit Agarkar was brought by Kolkata who shelled out a sum of 350000 dollars for him, while Sri Lankan Tillakratne Dilshan was sold for 250000 dollars to team Delhi. Dilshan's teammate Fervez Maharoof was also snapped up by Delhi for 225000 dollars.

India's Twenty20 World Cup star Joginder Sharma was snapped up by Chennai for 225000 dollars, while Hyderabad picked up New Zealander Scott Styris for a low price of 175000 dollars.

Upto the end of the sixth round, the teams had spend the following amount of the 5 million dollar cap which is there on their spending. The list is at follows: Chennai: four million dollars; Mohali: four million dollars; Bangalore: 3.8 million dollars; Mumbai: 3.5 million dollars; Delhi: 3.2 million dollars; Kolkata: 2.5 million; Hyderabad: 2.3 million; Jaipur: 1.7 million dollars.
