Surat, Feb 20: The All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) has organised a 'Chetna rally' starting from Haripura village of Bardoli here and will touch Madhya Pradesh and Tripura on March 10, Secretary and Member of Parliament (MP) Devrat Biswas said.

Mr Biswas said that Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram have twisted the country's economy like 'casino economy' through share markets which is managed from Washington and not from Delhi. ''The share market is operated by India's top 36 industrialist, but this country is not only for them. There are more than 35 crore people living under poverty line and the government is not thinking about them,'' he added.

He also said that in our educational books, only names of the Nehru family is highlighted everywhere, while they are trying to remove memories of many leaders like Subhash Chandra Bose, Vallabhbhai Patel and Vitthal Patel.

''Haripura is a village where Subhash Chandra Bose was made President of the National Congress in it's 51st meeting in 1938, but today the village is not having any sign of the existence of this great leader here,'' he pointed out.

''The Bardoli Pradesh Congress committee has made a statue of Bose in 1999 but still it has not been placed and inaugurated,'' he said.

The central government has promised to provide all the basic facilities to this village. Even Sonia Gandhi started her campaign from this village during the assembly elections, but till date, nothing has been done, he added.

The others who were present during this meeting were Subhash Chandra Bose niece Subhadra Bose and nephew Chitra Ghosh, West Bengal's minister Naren Dey and Dr Murtaja Hussain.
