Srinagar, Feb 20 (UNI) As many as 107 new school buildings at a cost of Rs 33.47 crore are being constructed in the Kashmir valley, an official spokesman said today.
He said of this, Rs 19.70 crore stand utilised till ending January this year.
The spokesman said besides this,under district sector 150 school buildings are under execution at an estimated cost of Rs 19 crore, of which Rs 15 crore have been utilized so far.
He said NABARD has provided Rs 7 crore under various schemes, of which Rs 3.50 crore stands utilised so far.
Director School Education said that Rs 1.21 crore are being utilised for construction of computer labs in different schools and Rs 53 lakh stands released so far.
He said for re-construction programme of earthquake damaged school buildings, Rs 15.47 crore have been released for construction of 81 school buildings.
