15 get life term in seperate murder cases

Gaya, Feb 20 (UNI) A local sessions courts today awarded life imprisonment to ten persons accused in a murder case.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 on each of the convicts.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Kameshwar Nath Rai found all the accused guilty of killing their co-villager Prakash Malakar and awarded them life imprisonmen under section 302 of the IPC.

According to charges, the convicts had shot dead the victim at Saraiya village under Mufassil police station area in the district on August four, 2001.

In a seperate verdict today, a fast track court in Lakhisarai awarded life imprisonment to five persons accused for killing three people.

Fast track court judge Vimal Kant Chaudhary found all the accused guilty of killing Pintu Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Deepak Kumar and awarded them life imprisonment under sections 302 and 149 of the IPC.

According to the charges, the convicts had shot dead the victims near Ramgarh Chowk of Lakhisarai on January one, 2000, following personal dispute.
