Lahore, Feb 19 : The President of the PML-Q, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has accepted his party's defeat in the February 18 general elections and added that poll results would be accepted gracefully.
He asked PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to fulfil his promise of restoring the judiciary.
Congratulating the winning candidates, Shujaat said the PML-Q is ready to sit in the opposition.
He also offered to extend the PML-Q's cooperation at the national level, but said allegations that President Pervez Musharraf had rigged the polls had proved to be baseless.
Shujaat praised both Musharraf and the Election Commission for holding free and fair elections, The News reported.
