Kota, Feb 19: Former External Affairs minister and senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh taught a lesson to the Kota Municipal Corporation (KMC) officials who had not turned up on time after inviting him for a function.

Mr Jaswant Singh was invited for the inauguration of a community hall constructed by the Kota Muncipal Corporation at the Adarsh Colony yesterday. The function was scheduled to be held at 1100 hrs in the morning and Mr Singh along with the Vice Chairman of the corporation Ravindra Singh reached the venue on time.

Mr Jaswant Singh was in for a shock after seeing the venue.

Neither any people were mobilised for the function nor any offcials including the corporation chairman was present there to receive him.

even the chairs for the function were just being unloaded from trucks.

An infuriated Jaswant Singh called a student of the neighbourhood private school who was standing nearby him and asked him to unveil the plaque. He also directed the Vice Chairman who was accompanying him to rewrite the plaque with the boys name in place of his.

Even when Jaswant Singh left the venue neither the chairman reached the venue nor the chairs were unloaded from the trucks for the function.
